An entomopathogenic fungus frequently used in agricultural pest control (attacking insects). Indoors, it may be found where insect hosts or contaminated soil are present (e.g. potted plants). Colonies can appear white to pale yellow. Human infection is extremely rare, and it generally poses minimal risk unless large colonies accumulate in humid conditions. Good air circulation and tidy plant care can help keep it under control.
